Knitted Knockers, May 16 (10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)

This class is for those who would like to learn how to support women who have undergone mastectomies. You will create knitted knockers which are breast prostheses that are a soft, comfortable, and lightweight alterative to the traditional ones used for women. You will be guided by a member of a Knitted Knockers Support Foundation. The class fee, $30, will be donated to Knitted Knockers Foundation. The project requires one skein of yarn which will be a separate materials charge. Participants will get 20% off their purchase of yarn.
Materials needed: 1 skein of Cascade Pandamonium ($8.50) or Bamboo Fair ($5.99). If you have your own double point needles, please bring sizes 4-5. We will have DPN's for purchase if needed.
Skills and Techniques required: Knowledge of DPN knitting, KFB, K2TOG, TBL, decreasing and increasing.
