Sarah Gant opened River City Yarn & Fiber in December 2025 to provide a vibrant gathering space for Jacksonville's huge community of fiber artists. Filled with color, texture and unique brands and products, shoppers will find what they are looking for and meet new brands, yarns and tools they haven't seen before! We love to see customers help one another with finding a yarn or fixing a stitch or sharing ideas about projects. It is not unusual for strangers to sit down in our "living room" to knit and crochet together.

Sarah was a middle school teacher in California and is dedicated to the idea that creativity is innate to human nature and must be encouraged and supported. Our classroom space hosts a range of classes but is also available for meet-ups, parties, and charitable making classes like Knitted Knockers.
